Christmas Memories

Traditions are so great.  It's something you can hold on to every year.  Well in my family, we would make several Christmas treats to give to our neighbors and friends every year.  Matt and I  have made two of my favorites this year.  Russian Refresher and Peppermint Bark.  Yum! It's starting to feel like Christmas...even in San Diego.....

We're Ready!

We're really trying to make it festive around here since we're sticking around for the holidays.  Last week, Matt "said" he was going to the library to study for his last final.  Well I heard the doorbell ring that night, and found Matt all grins holding a big, real, yummy Christmas tree!  We have a dinky little fake one we've used in the past, but now we have our first real one.  It is amazing how the smell of pine brings so many feelings and memories to mind.  Thanks, Matt! I absolutely love it!  We had a fun time listening to Christmas music and decorating, too.  Merry Christmas, everyone!

Who do I look like in Hollywood?

No one has ever said I look like a celebrity and I'm not sure I look like any of these people, but Matt would be happy with the Cameron Diaz match....

Why we love girls!

I just couldn't resist posting this picture. It makes me so excited to have a baby girl. How can you resist this tiny swimming suit?!

I have worried several times that the ultrasound technicians could be wrong and that we're really having a boy! Oh dear.....

Getting Ready

Matt's Mom and Dad got us this BEAUTIFUL crib. Thank you!!! We just love it. Matt and I had a good time putting it together. I just sat on the floor and tried not to be a "backseat driver" :)

Cassi sent me her brown and pink polka-dot crib skirt and a white bumper. When my mom was here this past week, we experimented and used rit dye to dye the bumper pink. I'm glad she only used half the bottle, because it's pretty bright! But it worked and luckily we left no trace in the community laundry room! Way to go, Mom! (we were a little nervous) But a brown and pink quilt is on it's way from grandma, so I think it will tie everything together.

We have a lot of things ready, but there are just so many necessities for a new baby. I better get everything together because who knows when she will make her big debut!
