Why we may never leave La Jolla

Last Saturday, after a long day of studying for Matt, he announced he needed to go catch a wave. So we hopped in the car in a race to beat the sunset. We won. Matt got out in the water and Madeline and I had fun watching him and enjoying the sand, air and sunset. It still boggles my mind that it's February and my parents have been in the negative numbers in WA. It's days like these that we can't imagine ever leaving.

  1. I don't blame you, it sounds beautiful AND warm. I am so cold right now, I could use some sun and some surf. How long WILL you guys be there?

  3. And to think we used to like you people. (Okay, we love you people. But we are bitter. Cold and bitter.)

  4. Welcome to paradise, girl! Isn't it wonderful!? That said, I would love to see your parents right now and I would even brave the cold to do it. Your dad needs to get his pilot's license so he can fly a private jet down here monthly. Please tell him to let me know when he's got all that, would ya?

  5. Yes! We're in Temecula - just 45 minutes from La Jolla. San Diego is our temple - we go there every month and I always think of you when we're there!

  8. The beauty of the sunset is matched by the beauty of your little family...maybe we could retire to So. Cal.
