Christmas Traditions

A fun tradition my family had while growing up was having Christmas pillowcases. The day after Thanksgiving was so exciting when we started putting up Christmas decorations - especially getting out our Christmas pillowcases and putting them on our bed. It made me get butterflies of excitement when I laid my head down on a cute, red and green, festive, little pillow. :) I decided it would be fun to carry on that little tradition so I made some for us. What are your favorite traditions that you have? Happy holidays!

  1. Madeline looks so long in this picture! A tradition I liked growing up was Leslie and I wouldn't listen to any Christmas music until Thanksgiving Day. Then we would play "Bing Crosby's Merry Christmas" album while we helped our Mom make the stuffing for the turkey...I still do this, except Sam likes to pull the Christmas songs out sooner, way sooner!

  3. We did pillowcases, too! I loved putting up the advent calendar my mom made. I have it now and my kids won't have December without it.

  4. Cute pillowcases! I'm impressed. I can't sew at all. Our traditions... playing hot-and-cold to find presents hidden around the house. Loved it. Brian thought it was really weird when I did it to him the first year.
